About
Catfishing America was created to bring all the knowledge and information about catfishing I can to those that want to learn. Catfishing America is in the early stages of life, with this website being the beginning. I hope to one day have a catfishing TV program and some videos to aid in the learning process.
Now a little about me. My
name is John and I'm a die hard fisherman. I spend a day on the water about
once a week. I mainly fish the James River in Richmond. If you like
catfishing there is no doubt, that is the place to be. The blue catfish are
constantly getting bigger and the Virginia state record will probably fall
soon.
On my days off I prowl the river in
search of the new state record. I also enjoy taking those who haven't
fished the James or those who do fish it and don't do so well. My goal is
to get a new personal best for each and every person that sets foot in my
boat. To date 8 people have landed their personal best catfish with me.
I have been featured in an article done by Bill Cochran of the Roanoke times which can be read in the articles section. I am a former author for Water and Woods magzine and all my articles can be found on this site. In December I will be filming for a show based out of Pennsylvania coming to the area in search of some big cats! I also spend a lot of time on the Katmasters message board answering questions and getting to know my fellow catfishermen. Click the link on the left and join Katmasters today!
